Moving Overseas

Moving is scary! My whole life I had lived in the same town, in the same house. In September 2017 I decided I wanted to try living somewhere new. There was nowhere else in Australia that really grabbed my attention, and I had always dreamed of living in the USA. On April 30^th2018, I finally made the big move! Here is a bit of my experience on moving abroad, how to deal with homesickness, and some of my tips for moving!

Delsey Luggage Review

The first time I saw the Delsey Chatelet luggage set I instantly wanted to own it. I love how chic and stylish the luggage looks, and saw many influencers singing its praises. For our Alaska trip Spencer surprised me and purchased me the 21 inch Carry On Spinner Case. I have used the suitcase several times, and absolutely love it! 

First of all I just love how classy the suitcase looks! I have received so many compliments on my luggage, and I feel so fancy every time I walk through the airport. The spinner wheels make the suitcase very easy to roll around, which is a big plus when carrying multiple bags and trying to navigate the airport. The suitcase also has a stop and go brake system, which is perfect when traveling on buses or trains, as you can lock the wheels and the suitcase will stay in place. 

Laser Hair Removal

Having laser hair removal was one of the best things I’ve done! I absolutely hate shaving, and did not like growing my hair out to have it waxed either. When I heard about laser hair removal I decided I want to give it a try, and I have been nothing short of amazed by my results.

I chose to start by getting an underarm and Brazilian package, and I purchased six. I went into laser not really knowing what to expect. I had friends that had done it, and they absolutely loved it. 

Packing Tips and Tricks

Packing for any trip is difficult. How much do I need to bring? What if it rains? What if it gets really hot or cold? Believe me, I used to overpack like crazy, but I have recently come up with a few handy tips to make packing a bit easier.  

Making Friends in a New City

Making friends as an adult is hard. Especially when you have no coworkers and spend all your time around children! I love making friends and spending time with other people, and when I moved to Washington DC I made this one of my top priorities. I know a lot of people struggle with making new friends if they have recently moved to a new city, or even meeting people in their current city, so I thought I would share some of the ways I have met new people and made friends.  

Seattle Travel Guide

The first time I visited Seattle I was not wowed by the city. It rained the whole time I was there, which made it miserable to explore the city. In July, Spencer and I traveled to Seattle for three days and had the most incredible time! I was honestly amazed by the city, and can’t wait to visit again in the future. Below is my recommendations for visiting Seattle, and what we did on our trip!

Two weeks exploring the West Coast!

Hi, thanks for stopping by! As I mentioned in my first post I recently went on a two week vacation with my boyfriend Spencer. Our trip started in Chicago, where we caught a train to Seattle. From there we took a 7 night Alaskan Cruise with Royal Caribbean and ended the vacation with two nights in New York. The trip was the perfect mix of relaxing as well as exploring and sightseeing.
